She was born in Woodhaven, NY and spent summers in Pocono Pines, PA where she met the love of her life, Jack McShea. They moved to Levittown to begin their life together raising their five children. Mrs. McShea was an original Levittown homeowner and a longtime member of Queen of the Universe Parish. She volunteered at Pearl Buck Elementary in her daughter’s classroom for years, as well as Mary’s Cupboard in Levittown. She had two card groups where she played bridge and pinochle with her longtime friends.
Judy stayed at home with her children until all were in school full time. She then began her career in sales at the Piggy Back Shopper/Bucks County Midweek where she worked until her retirement. Judy then became a snowbird, spending winters in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Her favorite things to do were spend time with her family and soak up the summer sun on the beaches of Sea Isle City, NJ.
This past September Judy enjoyed her 90th birthday celebration encircled by family from far and near. Judy was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved.
Judy dedicated her life to her family. When she wasn’t with them, she spent hours watching her digital picture frames, smiling from ear to ear, viewing photos of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A very special thank you to her dear friend and companion, Laura Sulon, who helped make her last years extraordinary with quality time lunching and shopping for hours in her beloved TJ Maxx and Marshalls.
Judy is predeceased by her parents, Milton and Eleanor Raymow, loving husband, John “Jack” McShea, adored sons, James and Thomas McShea, cherished sister, Nancy Kelly, and daughter in law, Priscilla McShea.
Judy is survived by her sons Garry McShea, Patrick McShea (Judith), daughter Judy Oswald (Steve) and daughter-in-law, Tracy McShea. She is the devoted grandmother of Erik (Cara), Alicia, John (Leah), Matthew, Ryan (Katie), Chase, Jack, Liam, Brogan McShea (Theresa), Danielle Bradley (Josh), Stephen Oswald, and Maggie O’Hara (Dan); and the proud great-grandmother of Michael, Mara Jade, Kaitlyn, Tommy, Madeline, Land, Lucy, and two on the way.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 9:30 until 11:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.
