Born in Philadelphia, PA, Joe was a graduate of Bishop Egan High School and attended Bucks County Community College where he majored in Business. Joe worked for Amtrak, and worked his way up the ranks from a Block Operator to the Manager of Train Operations before his retirement.
In his free time, Joe enjoyed gardening, nature, practicing his faith, and was a huge Philadelphia Sports Fan, including the Eagles. With all his hobbies, Joe's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted Father and Pop-Pop.
Predeceased by his parents, John J. Sr., and Marie Ann (Kelly) Cook; and his brother, Kevin P. Cook; he is survived by his loving daughters, Janel Ney (Tim) and Jennifer Parliment (Jason). He was the proud Pop-Pop of Timmy (Bobbi), Chelsea, Matthew, Travis and Jaylin; and the proud Great Pop-Pop of Angeline Marie.
Joe is also survived by his brothers, John J. Cook Jr. (Kathleen), and James M. Cook (Angie); his sisters, Marie Gervasio (Joseph), Nancy Rorick (Joseph), and Karen Meagher (Michael); and his sister-in-law, Theresa Cook.
He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service for Joseph will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM at St. Frances Cabrini, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030. The funeral mass will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020.
