John was a lifetime resident of Levittown, PA. He graduated from Pennsbury HS in 1973, and from the Philadelphia Restaurant School in 1993. Prior to 1993, John had an interesting career path, including owning his own retail business in Northfield NJ from 1985 to 1990, and in earlier years, working as a team leader for a truck decal company, which permitted him to travel and live in numerous places including Michigan and South Carolina. A tireless employee, John worked as a chef in numerous restaurants and Assisted Living Facilities in Bucks County, and preferred to work after retirement, choosing a deli position at Giant Supermarket.
John was a loving husband and father, a gentle and honest man. He enjoyed hiking and fishing, was an avid reader, and an early riser, closely following numerous news outlets on internet and radio. He liked music, puzzles and games and had an incredible ability to recall and discuss details of books, movies and songs, years after reading or hearing them. He had great stories to tell of his childhood and travels, and a wonderful sense of humor. He prioritized his family’s needs above his own and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
John is predeceased by his parents Hubert Reilly and Margaret (McNulty) Reilly, and recently 2 of his sisters, Maureen Reilly and Karen Reilly.
