John J. Koziol died on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 63. Born in Hazleton, the son of the late Frank and Emily (Jones) Koziol, he was a long time Levittown resident, residing in Falls Township for the past 37 years. John was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Fallsington. He graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1966. He was a truck driver for Richcrete Concrete in Trenton and then later for Silvi Concrete for 17 years. He was also formerly employed with JC Penney Furniture Outlet in the former Levittown Shopping Center and was rated the second highest sales representative in the country. John was a part time Tullytown police officer for 25 years, serving the borough from 1969 until 1994. He served proudly in the US Marine Corps. He was the former owner/operator of Goody Gum Drops in the Violetwood Shopping Center. Beloved husband of 37 years to Christine (Tierney), John was the loving father of Kimberly Mizvitowich (Edward) and John J., Jr. (Shannon) all of Levittown; the proud grandfather of Kaylee and Max Mizvitowich and the brother of Frank Koziol (Grace) of Levittown and the late Elizabeth Jones. John will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday, 8:15 until 9:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Road, Fallsington followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
