Rest In Peace John, we played football at Judge and hung out occasionally. Super nice guy.

John was a classmate of mine at Father Judge HS and a teammate of mine on the football team where he was our kicker for the ‘74 Football team. In a novel approach to improve our kicking game Coach Sullivan, in his first year, recruited John from the soccer team to kick for us. John was a “pioneering kicker” of sorts. Prior to that our kickers were guys who would kick it straight on and not as they called it “soccer style.  Now all the kickers kick soccer style. At the time it was a new idea to bring someone in just to kick. John was very good. He kicked field goals, which we never had done before, and was very accurate on the extra points. He was a huge asset to the team.  John paved the way for the FJHS Football Team to continue to use soccer players such as John McCarthy and Chuck Bushbeck to play soccer and kick for the football team.  John went on to play soccer at LaSalle College. May he Rest In Peace.

John and I worked together here at the bank for a number of years and I enjoyed his friendly humanity in every conversation that we had.  I celebrate the time I knew him and the color he brought to work each day. Rest in peace John - you will be remembered and missed!

John was a warm & kind teammate, and I looked forward to the times we were able to visit in person.  He always had a story of his family or how devoted he was to his pets, and his appreciation of really good music!  He was the friendly face you could easily find in the room and a great teammate.  My sincerest condolences to his loving family and friends.

RIP John, I also played with John @ LaSalle hope you now can meet up with Coach Wilkinson and talk soccer. Condolences to your family.

John was my teammate for a few years until I moved to a different team within Loan Review. I will always remember him as a caring person who took the time to develop not only a working relationship, but also to get to know you on a personal level. We both loved to cook and shared recipes with each other. I particularly recall that one of John's comfort foods was stuffed cabbage. John will be sorely missed for who he was - a consummate professional and a great human being... My sincere and heart-felt condolences to John's family. 

John, you left us all too soon. Thank you for being such a loving husband to my cousin. I will always remember your Friday night flowers to her, your kindness and love to Aunt Pat and your generosity with sharing your cooking talents with me and my family at holidays, parties and visits. You were a good man, John.  I will miss you. 

It was a pleasure going to LaSalle and playing soccer with Lefty. He was a intensive player and I enjoyed our time together. All my sympathy to his wife Susan, and his children.
