John F. "Jack" McLaughlin of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 following a brief illness. He was 63.Jack grew up in the Lakeside section of Levittown. He attended St. Michael the Archangel School and graduated from Bishop Egan High School where he played on the football team. Following high school, Jack enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served a tour in Vietnam. Upon his Honorable Discharge, Jack attended Trenton State College, earned his Masters Degree and graduated from Samford School of Law. He practiced as a Florida State Prosecutor.Growing up, Jack was known throughout the boxing circuit and was the recipient of a Golden Gloves award. He always remained a dedicated and loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Philles as well as Penn State football. Jack was very active throughout his life and some of his hobbies included playing softball and semipro football, Bass fishing and Tae Kwon do in which he earned a Black Belt.Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eileen McLaughlin and his sister Patricia. He is survived by his brothers James of Levittown and Michael (Theresa) of Fallsington; sisters Susan and Judy of Levittown; his nephews, Michael and Daniel McLaughlin and Anthony "A.J." Thul; and aunts, uncles and many loving cousins.Family and friends are invited to call from 9 until 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to K9s For Warriors, 114 Camp K9 RoadPonte Vedra, Florida 32081.
