John R. Hughes, Jr. John R. Hughes, Jr., formerly of Levittown, died suddenly on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at his home in Warrington. He was 65. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Hughes was a long time resident of Levittown prior to moving to Warringon 3 years ago. He was a 1965 graduate of the former Bishop Egan High School. John was a supervisor with the Department of Labor for 22 years. He was also a stylist at the Mamselle Hair Salon in the Park Plaza Shopping Center in Levittown. He was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. John loved cruises, especially in the Caribbean. Beloved son of the late Dolores R. (O'Reilly) and John R. Hughes, Sr., John is the brother of Kevin M. Hughes and his wife Ruth, Gregory P. Hughes and Dolores R. "Dorcie" Marozzi (Hughes) and her husband Robert. He is the devoted uncle of Kevin, Bryan (Kelley), Timothy (Catherine), Erin (Koby), Katlyn (Matthew), Robert and Danny, 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew. He will also be sadly missed by his good friends, Judy and Murray Berger. Family and friends are invited to his memorial service on Wednesday, at 6:15 pm, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, followed by a calling period from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in John's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
