Born August 24,1934 in Shanballybaun, County Roscommon, Ireland, John was the son of James Holland and Bridget Gilboy Holland. In 1962 John moved to the US and became a long-time Levittown resident, as well as, parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Parish.
John will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He dedicated his life to his family.
John was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed being outdoors while walking his 3 dogs, riding his 4-wheel bike around the neighborhood. Known as a diligent, resourceful and hardworking man, his strength and ability to handle life's challenges was seen as heroic. Anyone who had the pleasure to cross John's path enjoyed his Irish wit and charm.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Maureen Holland, his four children; Sally Holland, Maureen Holland, Kathleen DeSisto, John Holland; and 7 siblings, Pat Joe, James, Mary Nicholson, Michael, Bridget Moore, William, and Edmund.
He is survived by his three children and son-in-law, Fran Glessner (Mike), Tina Sanborn, Jimmy Holland; his grandchildren Sean, Steven, Ryan, Julia, Liam, Shannon and Dylan; his sister Christina Kozonasky and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at 10:00 am on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. There will be no calling hours.
