John S. EglintonJohn S. Eglinton died on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Crestview Center in Langhorne. He was 87.Born in Philadelphia, John was a former long time resident of Levittown and Morrisville.He was employed as a Letter Carrier for the US Postal service for over 30 years. John spent most of his career with the Levittown Post Office, until his retirement in 1990.John was a US Army Korean War veteran, having served proudly with two tours of duty in Korea.He was a passionate Native American enthusiast known as "Chief John 2 Feathers" and enjoyed going to Pow-Wows and furthering his knowledge of the Indian Culture. In earlier years, John enjoyed leather work, making moccasins, pocket books, etc. John was a motorocycle enthusiast his entire life. He also enjoyed playing Scrabble and Texas Hold 'Em. John greatly enjoyed going to his home away from home, the Trenton Road Takeout, where his buddies knew him as "Buff."Beloved husband of the late Georgia Lewis and Heather Hampton, John is the loving father of Barry Davis (Sharon), Brian Davis (Marge), Heather Rusk (late Greg), Georgia Shupe (Paul), Phyllis Patton (late Russell), Diane Wiser (Jimmy), Rick Eglinton (Lisa), Marion Winchell (late John), Lorraine Davis, Jonathan Eglinton (Tiffany Downs) and the late Joey Eglinton.He will also be sadly missed by 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; his sister, Phyllis Ansel (William); a niece and two nephews; and 2 grand fur babies.Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
