

Joan was bon on February 1,1931 in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Rosemont College and began a career in teaching. She met her loving husband, Walter, and they married on August 12, 1961 in the Chapel at Villanova University and went on to have five children.
Joan was a caring woman who was always willing to make sacrifices for her family. Beneath a quiet manner was a very strong, loyal and intelligent woman. She enjoyed reading the morning newspaper, listening to the Phillies and the stock show, watching the birds in her tranquil backyard, beautiful flowers, delicious pastries, debating with her family and so much more. Her gentle spirit will be missed more than words can express.
Joan is survived by her husband of 60 years, Walter, and her sons, Mark Eliason and his wife, Beth; Nicholas Eliason, David Eliason, Christopher Eliason and his wife, Karen and daughter Najet Hoban and her husband James.
Joan was extremely proud of her grandchildren, Jalyssa, Sara, Ryan, Emily and Aden Eliason, James, Danielle and Katie Hoban.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Margaret; brothers, Nicholas and Richard; sisters, Ruth, Miriam and Mary Margaret; and her daughter-in-law, Yarixa Eliason.
Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass on Saturday, October 24, 2020, 10:30 am, at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Yardley, PA.
