Jesse A. Bower (Jessman to his friends) passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his home at the age of 38. Born in Abington, PA, son of Diane M. (Allan) Bower and Keith H. Bower, Jesse was a resident of Bensalem, prior to moving to Lifepath in Sellersville over 20 years ago. He is survived by his sister, Jamie L. Yerkes; and his nephew, Nash Waylon Yerkes. Jesse will also be missed by his father, Keith and brother in law, Joe. Jesse was truly loved by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jesse was predeceased by his mother. Also by his grandparents, Rosella & James Allan, grandfather, John Bower and, brother Joshua.
Jesse enjoyed summers at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg Pa. Along with his sister, mom and dad they would spend weeks there each year tent camping. Massages, music therapy and his family were a few of his favorite things. Often his sister would take Jesse home for the holidays and family visits. Jesse was and is a true miracle baby. Born three months early on New Years Eve, Jesse had his fight or flight disrupted. His flight was taken. What do you have left after you cannot walk away? You Fight! Jesse did just that. He fought his way all the way to 38 years old, and then some. We have been through times that you thought Jesse, this is it.... He had other plans.
The Bower family would like to also thank the nurses and caretakers at Lifepath that have given Jesse an amazing amount of love and affection through the years. We appreciate everything and everyone.
Lastly we wouldn’t have any memories or be able to recall better times if it was not for Jesse’s father. Keith selflessly cared for Jesse for many years and continued to do so until the end. Jesse was and is a big part of our family, and will continue to be. We will miss you Jessman
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, March 13th from 9 until 10:00 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
