Born and raised in Philadelphia to the late John A. and Katharine N. (nee DeBoer) Reinhardt, Janet has been a resident of Croydon for 50 years. She was a longtime, active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Janet was a familiar face around the parish and devoted much of her time helping with various activities such as Eucharistic Minister, lector, and helping to clean the church and rectory, just to name a few.
She worked as a school bus driver for the Bristol Township School District for nearly 20 years before retiring in the early 1990’s. In her free time, Janet enjoyed tending to her garden.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, William Franklin Jackson, Janet is survived by her daughter Joan K. (Christopher) Gares and her son John T. (Lisa) Jackson.
She is the loving grandmother of B.J., Cassandra, and Rebecca MacDonald and Sean, Kyle and Ella Jackson; and great grandmother of Leon, Lily and Owen. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Sr. Frances Canice, OSF and Joan Schmidt.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bristol Pike & Walnut Avenue, Croydon, PA 19021. Janet will be laid to rest with her late parents in a private ceremony.
