James Waters Shetler

Born in Buffalo, NY, son of the late Eunice (Waters) and Ernie Shetler, Mr. Shetler has been a resident of Lower Bucks County for the past 48 years.

Mr. Shetler graduated from Rider University in 1963 where he achieved his Bachelor Degree in Business. He was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon.

He was the owner of Ernie Shetler and Son, refinishers of Bowling Alleys in Southern Tier, NY.

Jim enjoyed bowling every Friday with friends at Delmor Lanes in Morrisville.

He was a mail carrier in the Lambertville Post Office, retiring in 2001.

Beloved husband of 46 years to Alice (Kennedy), Mr. Shetler is the loving father of Michael Martinez (Janine Clauss), Michelle Shoemaker and Janine Aurora (Joe); and the brother of Jill Lilly.

He will also be sadly missed by his granddaughters, Jordan, Riley and Emilie; his nephews, Donald, Danny and David; and cousins, Merry & Judy.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 9:00 until11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
