James D. Rook passed away peacefully on January 6, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 75. Born in Webster, PA, Mr. Rook has resided in Fairless Hills since 1973. He was employed with Tube City in Morrisville for 35 years until retiring in 1998 and then worked for the Pennsbury School District for 9 years. He was a Marine Corps. veteran of Korea. Mr. Rook was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairless Hills for over 35 years. He was also a member of the Bristol Moose and the American Legion Post #960 in Fallsington. He was preceded in death by his father Frederick, mother Nellie, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Mr. Rook was the beloved husband of Carol (nee Goshey) and the late Elaine (nee Taylor). He is survived by many nieces and nephews and his extended family of 4 stepchildren, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Friends may also call on Wednesday from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Fairless Hills, 840 Trenton Rd., Fairless Hills where his funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Fairless Hills at the above address.
