Born in Philadelphia, he is predeceased by his parents, James B. Lynch and Mary C. (Sellers) as well as his sister Joanne and brother Kevin.
Jim graduated from Bishop Egan High School in 1966 and was employed by US Steel Fairless Works in the Sheet and Tin Division for 33 years until illness forced him to retire in 2001.
Jim, the ultimate “foodie” enjoyed fishing, hosting family picnics, vacationing at the beach in North Carolina, and trips to Atlantic City. Most of all, he enjoyed family and friends.
Beloved husband and best friend for 51 years to Catherine “Kit” (Heger), James was the loving father of James Lynch (Nicoale) and Catherine “Katy” Lynch; and the devoted grandfather of Jayden Bokan. He is also survived by his brothers Larry Lynch (Geraldine) and Dennis Lynch (Sandra) in addition to many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, October 17, 2021, from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
