James F. Horan Jr. of Levittown left this world peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Chandler Hall Hospice with his beloved wife Louise by his side. He was 69.Jim was born on June 8, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA to the late James F. and Susan J. (nee Kerestus) Horan.Jim was a 1965 Cardinal Dougherty graduate and had been a member of the world famous Cardinal Dougherty Marching Band. He was very proud of this period in his life and made many life long friends.Jim served in the United States Army and Army Reserve Corp upon graduation and through the early 1970's. He then attended LaSalle college and began a career as an electrician that he kept until retiring.Jim and his wife, Louise, moved to Levittown in 1977 and became active in the community. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker parish, coached CYO football and became very involved in Levittown American Baseball.He adored his family, his home, his garden, his holidays and his Cape May.Jim dealt with his medical issues courageously, quietly and always with dignity.Jim is survived by his beloved wife Louise (nee Lachat) of 47 years; his daughter Heather (Sean) of Levittown; son James (Heather) of Yardley, and daughter Eileen (Jason) of Yardley and his grandchildren Ryann, Joy, Grace, Zachary, Isabella and Teaghan. He also leaves behind many loving sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas and grandson Tanner.Family and friends are invited to call from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Rd., Fairless Hills where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Levittown American Athletic Association, Attn: Jennifer Warrell, PO Box 918, Levittown, PA 19058 or St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne Newtown Rd., Langhorne, PA 19047.
