Jack H. Speidel

Jack H. Speidel Jack H. Speidel died on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Yardley. He was 84. Born in Frackville and raised in Pottsville, Mr. Speidel was a 1946 graduate of Lansdowne High School. He had attended the Grandoff Music School in Philadelphia and was an accomplished jazz saxophone player, who played for many years as a backup performer for many acts in Philly, New Jersey and Lower Bucks County. After his retirement in 1989 from Consolidated Drake Company in Philadelphia as a senior pressman, Mr. Speidel taught at Music Forte in Levittown for 15 years. Mr. Speidel was an original homeowner in Middletown Township since October, 1956. He served proudly in the US Army and was a member of the 11th Airborne Alumni Group. He also enjoyed restoring antique automobiles. Beloved husband of 61 years to Anna R., Mr. Speidel was the loving father of Randy (fiancee, Donna Salzbach) and Donna Sheets (Greg). He will also be sadly missed by his 7 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, his sister, Ruth Buzzelli and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 12:30 until 2;00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private.
