

Pete was a foreman for PECO for 35 years. He enjoyed the RV life traveling about the country with his wife and 4 children. Upon his retirement Pete and Helen continued traveling in their fifth wheel, including a lifelong dream trip to Alaska. They enjoyed being snowbirds traveling to Florida and South Carolina.
He enjoyed country music, spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Pete loved to watch the Phillies and Eagles. He was a model train enthusiast.
Predeceased by his loving wife Helen Elaine (Warrell) Blackshire; his brother, Edward "Butch"; his sister, Jean; and his daughter-in-law, Susan. Pete is survived by his brother John, his children, Kathleen and David Murr, Peter Blackshire, Nancy Blackshire and Marc Rosenberg, and Chucky Blackshire; his grandchildren, Kevin Murr and Kimberly Huber, Christopher Murr, Krystal and Larry Stopa, Michael Blackshire and Jessica, Anita Rosenberg and Isabelle Porter, Beth Rosenberg and Carl Nevel, Brian Blackshire, Samantha Blackshire, and Jake Blackshire; great grandchildren Brayden, Nixon, Jameson, Aubrey, Charlee, Evelyn, Leo, Michaela, Harper, and Hunter.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 6 pm until 8 pm, and Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 10 to 11 am at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Funeral Service will begin at 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
