Helen L. Hibbs Helen L. Hibbs died on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Doylestown. She was 90. Born in New York City and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Mrs. Hibbs spent lived most of her adult life in Levittown. She was a former resident of Grundy Hall in Doylestown. She served as a WAVE in the US Navy during World War II. Mrs. Hibbs was a former volunteer at Lower Bucks Hospital. She enjoyed needle work, crocheting and was an avid reader, however, her greatest enjoyment was her family and her deep love for her children. Mrs. Hibbs was the loving mother of Lorrie Brumley of Kernersville, NC; John E. Hibbs of Millstone, NJ; Donald E. Hibbs (Diane S.) of Robbinsville, NJ; and Cathy E. Candando (Philip) of Jamison. She will also be sadly missed by her 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; her brothers, Edward Tissiere of Newport News, VA and Richard Tissiere of Spring Lake, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 7 until 9 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
