Helen M. Christie Helen M. (Fowler) Christie died on Sunday, June 12, 2011, surrounded by her family, at Briar Leaf Nursing Home in Doylestown. She was 90. Born in Manhattan, NY, Mrs. Christie was an originial Levittown homeowner since 1955. She was a founder and former troop leader of the Brownies and Girl Scouts of America as well as an originial member and secretary of Queen's Aid Society at Immaculate Conception Parish. Mrs. Christie was a former committee woman and treasurer of the Bristol Township Democrat Organization for many years. She also spent 8 years as a former Board Director for the Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority. Helen was an officer in the United Fund Committe of Lower Bucks Hospital. She was a Social Services Assistant for Lower Bucks Hospital for 14 years, and later became a Court Clerk for Bucks County until her retirement. She worked hard throughout her life and she had much love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Being with them was her favorite pasttime. Mrs. Christie loved the beach, ceramics and was an avid reader. Beloved wife of the late George F. Christie, Mrs. Christie was the loving mother of Laura Kennedy (Thomas) of Tafton, PA, Donna Conover (Robert) of Levittown and Janet Keyser (William) of Levittown. She was the very proud grandmother of Christie, TJ, Shannon, Fred, Kerry and Bill and the great grandmother of 12. She will also be sadly missed by her dog Lucky. She was preceded in death by her grandson, George Keyser. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 9:00 until 10:00 at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Inc. - National Office, 225 N.
