Born in Bristol on December 16, 1957, the son of Catherine Margaret (Brennan) Medvecky and the late Albert Richard Girard. Gregory has been a lifelong resident of Lower Bucks County. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1976.
Gregory was a proud Veteran, serving in the United States Navy on the USS Ranger CV-61 Supercarrier Ship. He was also a member of Union Laborers Local 332.
Gregory was the loving father of Jacqueline Paluszkiewicz (Andrew) and Katelyn Girard (Kevin Whyno); and the devoted grandfather of Andrew and Audrey Paluszkiewicz and Gregory Whyno.
He is also survived by his mother Catherine; sisters, Jacqueline Buhrman, Kathleen Girard and Susan Fenelli (Joseph); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gregory was predeceased by his father, Albert, and his beloved dog, Rogue.
Gregory was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Although nothing compared to the joy he found watching any sports his girls participated in. That later carried over to cheering on his grandkids on the playing fields.
He loved anything outdoors, especially family vacations to Canada and spending time down the lake. You could find him either grilling, fishing, or telling scary stories by his bonfire. He had a way of always making everyone feel so welcome.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 9:00 until 10:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, at 11:00 at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown at precisely, 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gregory's name may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center , 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
