Freida W. Pidgeon

Freida W. Pidgeon (nee Link), age 84, of Fairless Hills died on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Saint Francis Medical Center, Trenton, NJ. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Freida was a long time resident of Levittown and Florida before moving to Fairless Hills. She was employed with Cellular Advantage for several years. She was a member of the Sodality at St. Michael the Archangel Parish and enjoyed working the polls on election day. Freida was the beloved wife of the late John J. Pidgeon and mother of the late Robert Pidgeon. She is the loving mother of John Pidgeon and his wife Michelle of Florida, Charles Pidgeon of Boston, William Pidgeon and his wife Kathy of Edgely, Barbara Krudop of Houston, TX, Marilyn Pidgeon wife of the late Robert, as well as Rosemary Berson and her husband Gary of Forestburgh, NY. She will also be sadly missed by Linda Crocker, her husband Jim and their children, in addition to 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She leaves behind many dear friends at Grundy Gardens, Fairless Hills where she has resided for many years. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at Saint Frances Cabrini Church followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions in her name be made to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, National Headquarter Office, 11 Independence Way, Newark, DE 19713 or a Hospice of the donor's choice.
