Born on February 23, 1951 in Berwick to the late Dora and Arthur Leffler, he was a long-time resident of Levittown, PA. He enlisted in the Marines and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed at the US Steel Co. When the mill closed, he went to the Restaurant School in Philadelphia where he earned a culinary degree. He worked at various restaurants and got into the healthcare field and retired from Capital Healthcare in New Jersey as the Lead Cook.
He loved the Philadelphia area sports teams and was a diehard Eagles, Phillies, Sixers and Temple fan. (He hated the Dallas Cowboys). He loved going to the games and tailgating them. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed sleepovers with the grandkids and they always wanted “Pappy’s Pancakes” for breakfast.
Son of the late Dora and Arthur Leffler he is survived by his wife of 48 years Mary (Dreaver), two sons Frank Jr. and Donald and wife Elizabeth, two grandchildren Maggie and Sammy Leffler, brother Arthur and wife Deborah of Berwick, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brother Michael Leffler and sister Anne Leffler.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, March 15th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the James Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Burial with full military honors will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA at 2:00 pm. Please be in line at the main office no later than 1:45 pm
