Eleanor Rita Wurtz

Eleanor Rita Wurtz Eleanor Rita (Tweed) Wurtz died on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Saint Mary Medical Center. She was 90. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mrs. Wurtz was an original Levittown homeowner. She was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM Parish and the Queen's Aid Society. Mrs. Wurtz also was a long time library aide at the Parish School. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Beloved wife of the late John J., she was the loving mother of Peggy Boudin (Jacques) of Warminster, John J. Jr. (Anna) Langhorne, Eleanor Cloak (William) Levittown, Philip (Ruth) of Burke, VA, Nancy Steiger of Allentown, Michael (Diane) of Levittown, Brian (Liz) of Levittown; the proud grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 2. Mrs. Wurtz will also be sadly missed by her sister Paige McGuire of Levittown, her sister-in-law, Betty Martin (Jack) of Levittown, her brother-in-law Robert Wurtz (Mary) of Glenside and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Saturday, 8:15 until 9:15 at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am Immaculate Conception BVM Church, Levittown followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
