Edna M. Carroll Edna M. (Slack) Carroll of Fairless Hills, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Attleboro Nursing Home, Langhorne. She was 95 years of age. Mrs. Carroll was born in Moosic, PA and resided in Dunmore and was a long time resident of Fairless Hills She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish. Mrs. Carroll retired from the Department of Education where she was employed for many years at the Scranton State School for the Deaf. Beloved wife of the late James J. Carroll, she was the loving mother of the late James J. Carroll and grandmother of the late James D. Carroll. Mrs. Carroll will be saldy missed by her daughter-in-law, Mildred S. Carroll and daughter, Mary McGarvey. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Robert Carroll (Joyce), Paul Carroll (Jacquie), Dan Carroll, Kim Brown (Tom), Kathy Davis (Jim), Michael McGarvey, Judy Funkhouser (David), Patty Howell (Jesse), Terri Taylor (David) and Ann Harrison (Richard); her great grandchildren, Christina, Heather, Amanda, Andrew, Tom, Matthew, Rita, Jillian Jason, Meghan, Brian, Kevin, Kerklin, Kasidy, Kobly, Kayla, Julia, Craig, Kyle and Cory; her great great grandchild, Delila; her sister, Mary Tomassoni; her sister-in-law, Marion Slack and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday from 8:30 until 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 South Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. An additional viewing will take place on Wednesday, at Kearney Funeral Home in Scranton from 10:30 until 11:30 am, where a funeral service will held at 11:30 am The Rite of Committal will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
