Edmon S. Conner, a devoted husband, loving father, and avid fisherman, of Fairless Hills, PA, passed suddenly while doing what he loved most on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Born in Meadowbrook, PA, in 1966, Ed was raised in Northeast Philadelphia by his mother, Gail (nee Charlton), his father, Edmon Conner, and his stepmother, Elizabeth (Krusitz).
Ed's educational journey included Father Judge High School and the Quaker City Institute of Aviation. During his school years, he worked as a bartender at The 94th Aero Squadron, The Moshulu, and Houlihans. He dedicated 30 years of his professional life to Augusta Westland/Leonardo Helicopter Corporation, where he excelled in various roles including sheet metal lead, structural engineer, aviation maintenance technician, and ultimately, aviation maintenance supervisor.
In addition to his career, Ed was an active member of the Elks in Forked River and ran his own marine maintenance company. His skills extended to carpentry, having remodeled his entire home in Forked River. Ed was also a proud captain of two boats, hosting memorable fishing trips for friends and family alike. He passed away while engaged in his favorite pastime—fishing—which brought him immense joy throughout his life.
A passionate Philadelphia sports fan, Ed cheered for the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers with unwavering dedication. His greatest joy was fishing, particularly tuna fishing, which he pursued with great enthusiasm. Ed also found solace in the company of his late companion, Cooper.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Conner (Rausch), and their children; Amber Cahill (Jon) and Bobby Conner (Chelsey), who will deeply miss his humor and the life lessons he imparted. As Pop to Grace and Jack, Ed cherished spending time with them at his shore house and on his boat. He also leaves behind his sister, Kim (Paul Lafferty), nephew Conner, and niece Kate; as well as brothers-in-law John Rausch (Bonnie) and Jimmy Rausch, along with nephews Tyler, Cody, Colton, Nathan, and Anthony. Ed is also remembered by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
