Born in Butler, PA, Dorothy has been a long time resident of Fairless Hills, PA, and a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish. She retired after many years as the cafeteria manager at Pennsbury High School.
Known to many as Dot or Gram, she enjoyed baking cookies, playing her favorite slot machine at the casino, watching the Phillies, knitting blankets, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Beloved wife of 60 years to the late William C. Yurkovich, Dorothy is the loving mother of Terri Smart and her husband Greg; the devoted grandmother of Gregory (Gemma), Lauren (David), Lindsey (Pat); and the proud great grandmother of 4 beautiful great granddaughters, Natalie, Noa, Bryn, and Remi.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Family and friends may also call on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 8:30 until 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Bill.
