Donald R. Greenwood Sr. of Levittown died on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Attleboro Nursing Home. He was 81.Mr. Greenwood was born and raised in Palmerton, PA and graduated from Palmerton High School and East Stroudsburg University. He has resided in Levittown for the past 58 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairless Hills.Mr. Greenwood was a teacher and administrator in the Bristol Township School District until retiring in 1991. After retiring from Bristol Township, Mr. Greenwood began teaching at the College of New Jersey for 10 years and Rider University for several years. Donald was an accomplished athlete as a youth and enjoyed coaching basketball throughout his teaching career. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.Son of the late Charles and Anna (Weidaw) Greenwood, Mr. Greenwood is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Barbara L. (Sulzner) Greenwood.He is the loving father of Donald R. Greenwood Jr. and his wife, Debbie, and the late Kathleen Hamilton and her surviving husband, William "Chip".He is the devoted grandfather of Jeremy (Cheyenne) Hamilton, Allyson, Kelsey and Dennis Greenwood and great grandfather of Ember and Logan.Brother of the late Charles and Richard Greenwood, Donald is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Fairless Hills, 840 Trenton Rd., Fairless Hills, PA 19030.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104 or the First United Methodist Church of Fairless Hills.
