Words alone can't convey the void left by the loss of such a beautiful soul. Dave was a man who unapologetically marched to the beat of his own drum - he had an unparalleled sense of humor and zest for life. His presence needed no introduction - whether it was his reverberating voice, his laugh or his affinity for mischievously stirring the pot; it was within mere moments you knew he was there. A generous and kind soul, Dave was always there for anyone in need and inherited his knack for being able to make the best of any situation from his late mother, Dot Mundy.
A man of many passions and interests, he was particularly fond of motorcycles - Harleys, specifically- classic cars, music, golfing and Philadelphia sports. Dave had a tireless work ethic and prided himself on being able to provide for his family via his long standing career as a hazmat driver for over 30 years; 22+ years as a trusted employee at Univar, USA. David truly loved unconditionally and was a proud husband, dad and poppy. His affection was clearly seen in his eyes and on his face any time he spoke of those he loved. His strong will and unrelenting desire to see those he cared about succeed, Dave never stopped trying to steer those he loved onto a path for betterment.
Ever the people person, Dave made friends wherever he went, in many circles. His love of motorcycles led to his membership in many motorcycle clubs over the years, and he certainly enjoyed the ride. One of his favorite activities was attending the Delmarva Bike Week in Ocean City MD, from where he always came back with great stories and, of course, new friends.
Always wanting to give back, David was a member of many social clubs and most recently a Trustee at the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was instrumental in orchestrating events such as the Harvest Festival which raised funds for those in need through the Eagles Club as well as bike rallies and car meets. On a personal level, he didn't hesitate to help a friend when in need. His absence will be deeply felt by the countless people he touched throughout his larger-than-life story; a story which will continue in the hearts of all of those he encountered.
