Daniel A. Sessa Sr.

Daniel A. Sessa Sr. of Fairless Hills died on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 72.Born in Bristol and raised in Woodside, Mr. Sessa was a 1962 graduate of Pennsbury High School. He has resided in Fairless Hills for the past 45 years and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini parish.Mr. Sessa spent most of his career working as a drywall finisher while also working for American Can Company until retiring. After retiring he worked part time as a driver for Auto Parts Warehouse.Daniel enjoyed being outdoors fishing and crabbing and spending time with his grandchildren.Mr. Sessa is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Marlene (nee Gronek).He is the loving father of Maureen S. Crawford (Scott), Daniel A. Sessa Jr., Anthony Sessa (Jennifer Simon) and Sandy Sessa (Shane Stong) and the devoted grandfather of Garrett, Lauren, Kierstyn, Victoria and Shanna.He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family.Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 8 until 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9: 30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Frances Cabrini Church followed by Rite of Committal at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
