Daniel Joseph Costello

Daniel Joseph Costello, 68, passed peacefully on March 8 with his family at his side. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy Costello, a son, Daniel Jr.; daughters, Amy Mongeau (Mike) and Jessica Hayes; and his sister-in-law Susan Basista, his stepsons Eric, Eddie, Raymond and Phillip (deceased).

His precious grandchildren, Michael, Tyler and Valerie were the loves of his life.

Dan was the son of William and Patricia Costello. He was the brother of Bill (Diane), Tim (Kim-deceased), Mike (Jeannie) and Matt. He was the brother of Patricia Merkel (Tim) and Kathleen (Pete). His sister, Mary Yaeger (Paul), predeceased him.

Dan had many nieces and nephews and was proud of each one of them. He will also be missed by his cousin Dennis, and his great friend, collaborator, golfing buddy, Billy Snow.

Dan got his professional start at age 15. Dan, in turn, mentored many young men in his days with various oil companies. He worked for Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority for 30 years retiring in 2017.

Dan had a heart of gold. He never refused a request for help from family, friends or neighbors. He had many loyal friends. He was a truly humble man. He will be sadly missed by all of us.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 9:30 am until 10:45 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056, followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 am.
