D. Arlene Hinkle

Professor D. Arlene Hinkle Professor D. Arlene (Gooch) Hinkle died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Aria Health Bucks. She was 84. Born in New York State and raised in Mannington, WV, Mrs. Hinkle moved to Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School. She obtained her Masters Degree from Trenton State College. She was a resident of Levittown since 1985. Mrs. Hinkle retired from teaching at Ocean College in Toms River, NJ in 1989. She was quite active online supporting democratic news groups. Mrs. Hinkle was the daughter of the late Walter and Verneda Gooch and sister of the late Arnold Gooch; Argel Gooch and his late wife, Tiny; Melrose Forrestor; and Verneda Brauer. She was the loving mother of Arby Hewitt-Mulryne (Rainy) of Langhorne; Verneda Townsend of Langhorne; Cynthia Efaw (Rod) of Levittown; and Kathleen Heffle (James) of Levittown. Mrs. Hinkle will also be sadly missed by her 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother Walter Gooch (Jean) of Yardley; sister-in-law Elaine Gooch; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
