Cody Jai Moon

Cody Jai Moon, born May 20th 1997, went riding into heaven July 14th 2018. Cody Jai was a lover of life, women, and spending money faster than he could make it. His blood was a mixture of Jack Daniels, fire, and gasoline. If he wasn’t riding, he was hunting, fishing, or drinking a beer with friends around a bonfire. Even up to his last moments, Cody Jai always had a smile on his face. Charismatic and goofy, Cody always knew how to put a smile on the faces of those around him. Sensitive to the core, he always had his friends’ backs. Like your typical red neck boy, you couldn’t keep him inside or sitting still. He spent his days either chasing girls or chasing a thrill. He always lived for today and never worried about tomorrow. If there was anything he would want to teach us it would be seize the day. Like a firework in the night sky Cody’s light was bright and beautiful and gone far too soon. Do not mourn his death but rather carry him along with you on your life’s adventures.He is preceded in death by his grandmother Ginger McCollum; great grandparents Nana Miglucci, Ralph Knapp, Melvin and Alma Markert and Norris Vevea.He is survived by his mother and father Hollie and Zack Moon and his sister Skyla Moon. His great grandmother Catherine Vevea. His grandparents Donald (Merv) Markert and Sandra Bingle, Corey and Judi Bingle, John Moon (Susan Hurwitz), Nancy Moon and George Kleinhans. His aunts Jackie (Jason) Owens, Melanie Markert (Rob Mellace), Karen Pruett, and Jaylene Johnson. Uncles John Anthony (Paulette) Pruett, Jeremy Vevea, Eddie Moon, Johnny Ray Moon (Donna), Patrick Moon, and Joey Lubinski. His cousins Layla Owens, Brittany and Logan Vevea; Colin, Tyler and Ryan Johnson; Morgan, Jerry, Joey, Anthony, Dominic and Nathan Lubinski. And best friend and brother from another mother Jeremy Torrey.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday July 20, 2018, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10:00 am. Interment will be held privately.In honor of Cody's memory this will not be a formal event please come dressed casually. Just like our boy.
