Charles N. Funk III died on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 68. Born in Westmoreland County, Chuck was the son of Charles and Marie. He was a longtime Lower Bucks resident and graduate of Pennsbury High School class of 1966. He went on to join the Air Force and was stationed in Thailand during Vietnam. Chuck retired after 25 years of dedicated service working as a carpenter for the US Postal Service. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Chuck was the beloved husband of Anna Mae (Oberholtzer). He is survived by two sons, Chris Purcell and Patrick Purcell (Michele), the loving father of three daughters: Lisa Funk, Stefanie Funk, Dana Funk and the grandfather of seven. He is also survived by his stepchildren Jerald Olp Jr. (Vinessa) and JoAnne Morley and their families, who reside in Colorado. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers Dan and Richard (Helena) Funk and his sister Karen Kowalchik (Mike). Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, PA where his memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon. Condolences may be posted to the family at the website below..
