Well Chuck,  just now finding out that you've passed away.  I'll miss our wonderful conversations, your preciseness on the time, your chuckle, your sarcasm,  your many musical adventures.  Rest in peace my friend!  No need for a grabber anymore!  Hugs

Charlie was my first instrumental music teacher. He was a very nice man, who loved teaching music to children. I can recall my first concert, where I played Jingle Bells in front of the entire school.  Sadly, my reed hit the curtain on the way out to the stage and broke.  Needless to say, my saxophone did not sound like a saxophone nor did it sound like jingle bells.  I was devastated.  That night, Charlie had extra reeds for me to perform for the parents, and all went well.  Today, I am a music teacher. I had the opportunity to work with him when I worked in Bensalem just after graduating from the University of Miami.  I remember working with him during the district arts festival with the honors middle school band.  He conducted one selection and I conducted the other.  It brought great joy to my life to have had that opportunity to work with him. I also got to know his wife Barbara, who was never called barb!  With that known, the three of us would go to dinner frequently.  Even at PSEA and NEA functions, we would have our special evening together to go to dinner.   Charlie was a gentleman to everyone, a caring husband to Barbara and a friend I will miss.  My condolences to his family and all who knew him.

RIP Mr. Fry. A great man with a great passion for music and his students. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Rest in peace old friend.  I have many fond memories of our many years as colleagues in Bensalem schools.   

The Westshoremen Alumni is saddened to learn of Charles passing. As he was alumni member number R127 the alumni extends our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones. May you find strength in your faith during this period of loss.

Sorry to hear of Charlies death.  Remember him fondly from my days teaching In Bensalem. Condolences to his family and friends.

I knew Charles as a musician with the Old Comrades Band.  It was a pleasure to play music with him and particularly, after rehearsal, to eat lunch with him.  Although I did not know him well or long enough, his humor at lunch and the boom of his bass drum will be missed.

Charlie will be missed for his smile and friendliness by all his music friends.

RIP Mr. Fry, you were one of the good guys in Bensalem School District!

Charlie was a Bible buddy friend and fellow growth group friend.

Charlie Fry was caring and generous soul. He always had a way of making people feel good. He was a wonderful teacher, a kind-hearted person, and a good friend. I am a better person for having known him.

Charlie Fry...the one and only.  I shall always be grateful for his portrayal of Santa Claus in Struble Elementary's production of "The Polar Express."  He was awesome as he loved kids.  He is a free spirit now and I pray that he'll go on to inspire many more with his one of a kind spirit.  God bless you, Charlie

Charlie and I served in the PSEA Fine Arts Committee. He was a wonderfully delightful man. He inspired so many and will truly be missed.
