Charles A. Brown

Charles A. Brown of Levittown died on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Aria Bucks Hospital. He was 80. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Brown and his family resided on Clearfield Street in Philadelphia for many years before moving to Levittown 17 years ago. He worked as an installer for Holmes Protection Company for 35 years until retiring. He enjoyed golf and was a member of the Fairless Hills Public Golf Course where he looked forward to spending time on Friday mornings with the senior golf group. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Helen (Moriarty) Brown and his brother Jack. Mr. Brown was the beloved husband of Margaret "Peggy" Brown (Flynn) for 56 years. He was the loving father and father-in-law of Charles A. Jr. and Sue Brown, Joseph E. and Pat Brown, Deborah and Steve Cashin, James and Maryann Brown, Terry and Michael McLaughlin, Lisa and Kevin O'Neill and Barry and Christen Brown. He will also be sadly missed by 27 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Friends may also call on Wednesday from 8:30 until 9:30 AM at the funeral home where his funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
