Carolyn Jane MaltzCarolyn Jane Maltz passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home in Levittown. She was 83.Born in the Olney section of Philadelphia, PA, she graduated Little Flower High School in 1951 and moved to Levittown in 1955 where she resided for the remaining 62 years.Mrs. Maltz worked for Bristol Township School District Title I Program for 15 years. A devoted Catholic, she volunteered her time and talents extensively at Immaculate Conception Parish. She served as Girl Scout Leader, Altar Server Leader, Queen's Aides member, CCD teacher, Director of Religious Eduction, RCIA team member, Lector and Eucharistic Minister.Mrs. Maltz studied theology at Saint Charles Seminary and attended theology classes at Villanova University. She also studied at Bucks County Community College.She is survived by her children Donna Ruffin (Jay), Joseph Maltz, Stephen Maltz and Ellen Farrell.She was an adoring grandmother to her 2 grandchildren, Erin Farrell and Billy Farrell.She is also survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald J. Maltz; two sisters-in-law, Mary Becker and Edie Becker; cousin Claire Kiley; and a long list of many loving nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents, Gregory and Stella Becker and three brothers, Gregory Becker, Jr., John Becker and James Becker.Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Thursday, July 20, 2017, 10:00 am, at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne. There will be no calling hours on Thursday morning.
