Beverly D. Woodruff (nee Chase), of Levittown died on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Aria Health Torresdale Campus. She was 67. Born in the Roxboro section of Philadelphia, Mrs. Woodruff was raised in Penndel and has resided in Levittown for the past 42 years. She was a graduate of Neshaminy High School, class of 1961 and was an active member of the alumni association. Mrs. Woodruff was employed as an administrative assistant at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Trenton, NJ for 28 years until retiring in 2003. She has most recently worked part time at the CVS stores located in Yardley and at 5 Points in Levittown for the past 5 years. Mrs. Woodruff was an avid reader and Philadelphia sports fan who also enjoyed cross word puzzles. She will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Heywood) Chase. Mrs. Woodruff was the beloved wife of Edward R. Woodruff Sr. for 46 years. She was the loving mother of Wendy and her husband Kevin McCarty of Pennsauken, NJ, Stephanie Woodruff of Maple Shade, NJ, Meredith Woodruff and her husband Peter H. Bregman of New York City, Linda W. and her husband Edward J. Hughes of Pennsauken, NJ and Edward R. Woodruff Jr. and his companion Becki L. McHugh of Levittown. She was the devoted grandmother of Grace A. Roscoe and Aidan P. and Kyle E. McCarty. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Linda C. Kipping and her husband Raymond of Newtown, her brother George T. Chase Jr. and his wife Jeannine of Langhorne, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Friday, 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 801 W. West State St., Trenton, NJ 08618 where the family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment is private.
