Mr. Arthur J. Power

Arthur J. Power, Sr. of Levittown Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on May 6, 2023, at age 95. The son of Arthur and Viola Power. Preceded by his wife Mary Louise Austin-Power and survived by his family; Patricia Power, Ron Power, Susan (Rick) Golden, Donna Quinn, Jeanette (Joe) Lefchuk, Dan Power and Art Jr. (Jackie) Power. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his second wife Teresa Kelley-Power.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania graduated from North Catholic High School class of 1944. Married his high school sweetheart Mary Louise Austin in 1949. Attended Hussain School of Art and was an apprentice for the Mastbaum Theater. With his art and creative talents, he was enthusiastic about making banners and posters for family parties and events.

Original and longtime resident of Mill Creek Falls, Levittown, PA and a member of Immaculate Conception Parish. He was involved in the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus Council 4215. At the Knights of Columbus, he served as a Past Grand Knight and was on the board for 30 years.

He had a lengthy career in sales and in his retirement, he worked at Philmont Country Club until age 85. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. As an artist he loved creating signs and posters.

He had a quick wit and great sense of humor, always had a friendly word to say. He was thankful for a long life and the unconditional support of his children in his later years. He will be missed by his family, extended family, friends and neighbors.

Visitation for families and friends will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA 19054, where his mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. A burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
