She was born on December 17, 1951, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, and was the youngest daughter of Robert and Gertrude (Schnatz) Hogan. Anne was the loving wife of John, who she met while working at Liberty Mutual Insurance and later married in 1974.
Anne was the proud mother of three children. She wholeheartedly embraced her role as caretaker of her family and later in her life took great joy in watching her eight grandchildren grow up and spread their wings. Anne was a lover of animals, and she adored her Havanese, Bowser, who rarely left her side.
Selfless would be a word to describe Anne, and she graciously gave her time in the service of others. Anne was a very active member of Queen of the Universe Parish, and she frequently volunteered her time in many parish endeavors. She was a long-time Eucharistic Minister and Prep Teacher and took great pleasure and joy in sharing the traditions and faith of the Catholic Church with so many young children in the community.
Anne loved spending time outdoors, especially with her young family, where they would take camping trips on many spring and summer weekends. This love of the outdoors ultimately led her and John to eventually find their “home away from home” in the woods of Southeastern Pennsylvania, where they would enjoy the peace of nature and the company of family.
Anne is survived by her husband John, her brother Robert, her sister Gertrude (Cranston), her three children; John, Michael and Michelle (McLean), her daughters’-in-law, Wendy and Amy, her son-in-law Sean and her eight grandchildren; Connor, Bethany, Tara, Andrew, Brendan, Lucy, Carly and Nora.
