Born in Langhorne, PA, daughter of Stephanie (Nase) and Barry Jones, Jr, Amanda was a lifelong resident of Levittown. In addition to her parents, Amanda is survived by her loving brother Michael, her maternal grandparents, James and Eileen Nase, as well as her paternal grandparents Barry and Lillian Jones. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles, John Jones, Steven and Irem Nase, and Kathleen (Nase) and Roy Mesker. Amanda is also survived by her adoring cousins: Isabel and Sophia Nase, and Annabel, Benjamin, and Charlotte Mesker.
Amanda was a 2011 graduate of Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills. She had a great love of animals whether it be her "guard" dog Ollie, feeding apples to deer with her family, or her animated favorite, Zero. Halloween was always her favorite time of the year, which was reflected in her love of everything related to "The Nightmare Before Christmas." She was a huge 21 Pilots fan and was so excited that she was able to attend a couple of their concerts in person. She was always on the go and nothing could hold her back in life. She found happiness in being able to shop at the mall, go to the casino and take walks around the neighborhood with her dog Ollie.
Amanda's desire in life was always to give, never to take. Ever a fighter, Amanda worked hard to maintain her independence through to the end. She was always thinking of others and her level of thoughtfulness was unparalleled as she always managed to find the perfect surprises for those around her to show she cared. As much as we tried to care for her, her concern was always for everyone else, never wanting to burden others or give them a chance to feel sorry for her. She will always be deeply loved and she leaves behind an emptiness that can never be filled. One thing she would want everyone to remember is "Don't forget to love yourself."
Amanda would want us all to take comfort in the fact that her journey on Earth came to an end as she had wished, peacefully in her sleep, free from pain.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 18, 2020, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery Bensalem, PA. A celebration of life will also be planned for a later date, when restrictions are eased and conditions allow for us to safely gather and celebrate Amanda together.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Amanda's name to the Sarcoma Foundation of America (https://curesarcoma.org) or the Women's Animal Center in Bensalem, PA. (https://womensanimalcenter.org/).
