Alverda C. WasneskyAlverda C. Wasnesky died on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia at the age of 87.Born and raised in Tamaqua, she was an original Levittown homeowner since 1954.Mrs. Wasnesky was a founding and active member of the former Immaculate Conception BVM Parish, Levittown, where she was active in her faith and church activities.Her family was always most important to her. She was a very kind woman, and was always willing to help those in need.Beloved wife of nearly 63 years to the late Lawrence P., she was the loving mother of Janice Coyne (Patrick) of Doylestown, Christine Belshaw (David) of Bethlehem, Larry Wasnesky (Jeanne) of Mt. Holly, NJ and Michael Wasnesky (Nancy) of Eastampton, NJ. She was the devoted grandmother of Marianne Coyne Nichols (Ryan), Michael Coyne (Kristen), Jason Belshaw, Lauren Belshaw Hirschman (Ryan), Mark (Kelly), Paul, Brian, Jeffrey and Kelsey Wasnesky, and very proud great grandmother of Noah, Logan, Abby and Aidan Nichols, Sabrina Coyne and Thea Hirschman. Mrs. Wasnesky will also be sadly missed by her extended family and friends.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 4, 2018, 10:30 until 11:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056.
