She died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Levelland, Texas.

Mrs. DeNitto was born on July 11, 1913 in New York, New York to Salvatore and Maria (Cicimino) Sciacca. She married Frank DeNitto on May 5, 1945 in New York and they lived in Brooklyn, New York until 1973 when they moved to Florida. They moved to the Lubbock area in 1986 from Florida. In 1992, they moved to Levelland. Frank died on May 9, 2009. She was Catholic.

Survivors include her son: Philip DeNitto and his wife, JoAnn of Levelland, Texas; her daughter: Francesca DeNitto of Islandia, New York; her grandchildren: Mara Winders and her husband, Tim of Levelland, Texas; Christopher Panzarella of Stonybrook, New York ;Amy Rickwartz and her husband, Chris of McKinney, Texas; Tiffany Garza and her husband, Victor of Richardson, Texas; and Kimberly Kanaly and her husband, Kamden of Houston, Texas and her great-grandchildren: Zachary, Zane, McKenna, and Dahlia Winders and Sophie Rickwartz.
