Rama Nell Rhea

Funeral Services for Rama Nell Rhea, 88, of Levelland will be 10: 00 am, Saturday, May 28 , 2011 in George Price Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Mike Holster, Minister of Music, Second Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. She died Thursday, May 26, 2011 in her home. She was under care of Legacy of Love Hospice.

Nell was born on July 22, 1922 in Edhube Texas to Forrest C. and Alice Ruth Logan Stroud. She married Guy Rhea on October 28, 1938 in Greenville, Texas. They moved to Sundown in 1948 from Whiteface, Texas and then in 1958, they moved to Levelland. She had been a member of Second Baptist Church since 1962. Nell was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband and three sons, Don, Lee, and Sam. Nell was well known for the many prayers she had published in the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

Survivors include: her son, Mike Rhea of Brownwood, Texas; two daughters, Pam Barrera of Levelland and Penny Maye of Pensacola, Florida, a sister: Shelly Bell of Warsaw, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren.
