Lois Earleen Grant

Funeral services for Lois Earleen Grant will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 12, 2015 in the George Price Fu-neral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Whitharral Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at George Price Funeral Home. Lois Earleen Grant, 77, passed away at home in Abilene, Texas on Monday, March 9, 2015. Earleen was born September 10, 1937 in Hockley County, Texas to Joe and Bessie Pelfrey. She married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Jimmy Jack Grant, on December 28, 1958. The two remained inseparable throughout their 56 years of marriage. Earleen owned and operated Grant’s Framing, and retired from that profession after twenty-seven years of service. She was passionate about framing and took much pride in her work. Jimmy and Earleen moved to Abilene fourteen months ago to be near their children and continue enjoying retirement. Preceding her in death were her parents, Joe and Bessie Pelfrey; and two brothers, Don Pelfrey and Mervin Pelfrey. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy; daughter, Jana and husband Richard Roberts of Abilene; son, Jerry and wife Tiffany Grant of Lake Brownwood; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Sean, Lyssa, Mindi, Daniel, and Kallie; and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to Hendrick Hospice Care of Abilene, Texas; or New Mexico Christian Children’s Home in Portales, New Mexico.
