Faye June Heatherly

Funeral services for June Heatherly, 78, of Lubbock will be 10:00 am, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at George Price Funeral Chapel, Levelland. Burial will follow in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. She died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Lubbock.

June was born on September 9, 1934 in Kingsville, Texas to Samuel King and Mattie Vernell (Martin) Giddens. She attended school in Corpus Christi, Texas and moved to Sundown, Texas in 1950. On March 13, 1952, June married James Isaac Heatherly in Petersburg, Virginia. They made their home in Sundown and operated Heatherly Backhoe Service. James died in 2005 and at that time, she moved to Lubbock, Texas and was a member of Redbud Baptist Church.

June is survived by: two sons Randy Heatherly and his wife, Sherry of Lubbock, Texas; Dennis Heatherly of Sundown, Texas and a daughter, Sherry Ray and her husband, Patrick of College Station, Texas. She was also survived by four sisters: Joye Waldrip of Donie, Texas; Connie Serrato of Conroe, Texas; Mary Giddens of Arlington, Texas and Carrol Payne of Gladewater, Texas and seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a fifth one due on May 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by two sisters Margie Cameron in 2002 and Judy Evridge in 2005.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society or to Meals on Wheels.
