Everett “Bubba” McDaniel of Sundown, Texas passed away Friday, January 9, 2015. Services will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Sundown with burial to follow in the Sundown Cemetery. Bubba was born July 21, 1948 in Monahans, Texas to Wade and Gladys McDaniel. He graduated from Levelland High School, South Plains College and with honors from Texas Tech University. He married Kay Craddock on July 6, 1968. Bubba served 4 years in the USMC with 1 tour in Viet Nam. He served the past 16 years as Constable of Precinct 2 in Hockley County, and as a Court Room Bailiff. Bubba was also a certified Peace Officer. He operated a small cow/calf operation for over 40 years. He dearly loved being on the ranch working cows and riding with his sons and grandsons. Bubba served as a Deacon of First Baptist Church, Sundown, for many years. He had a great love for God, his family and his country. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kay; sons Clint (Karen) McDaniel of Bartonville, Tx, and Jimmy Don (Shay) McDaniel of Sundown, Tx; 5 grandsons, Seth, Chance, Ryder, Luke & Kolt; 1 granddaughter, Kasidee Young; and one brother, Ernest McDaniel of Howe, Tx.
