Graveside services for Donald Ray Doshier, 76, of Whitharral will be 2;00 pm, Monday, November 12, 2012 in City of Levelland Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas. He died Thursday, November 8, 2012.
Born on May 14, 1936 in Whitharral, Texas to Thomas Jonathan and Elsie (Hutson) Doshier, he attended schools there and graduated in 1954. Following his graduation, he moved to Lubbock and attended Draughan’s Business College. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served for two years. After his discharge from the service he moved to Waco and worked for the Veterans Administration. In 1968, he moved back to Lubbock and went to work at Reese Air Force Base, where he worked for 32 years before retiring.
Survivors include two brothers, Alvin Doshier and Leroy Doshier and his wife: Jeanice all of Whitharral; and a brother in law: Ralph Parker of San Angelo, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Velma Ruth Parker, Janell Wells and Frances Kilpatrick and a sister in law: Phyllis Doshier.
The family suggests memorial to the New Mexico Children’s Home in Portales, New Mexico or to a favorite charity.
