Funeral Services are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas, and will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at George Price Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland, Texas with Dr. E.G. Lambright officiating. Burial will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery in Levelland, Texas. He was born May 21, 1920 to Raymond P. and Glaytus (Jones) Rasco, in Scurry County, Texas. He spent most of his early years in Hale County, Texas. He joined the Army in 1941, and served in the South Pacific until May 1945. He married Lillian Virginia Streety in 1947.
He attended business college in Plainview, Texas, and became a Court Reporter for the State of Oklahoma, retiring in 1981, after having lived and worked in Miami, Seminole and Alva, Oklahoma. After retirement, they returned to Texas to help care for elderly parents. When Virginia passed away suddenly in 2005, Arville moved to Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon, Oklahoma, where he resided until January of 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and three siblings, Leon Rasco, Mildred McReynolds and Trilton Rasco. He is survived by a son, Larry Michael Rasco and wife Kathleen, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; a daughter, Brenda Donley and husband John of Weatherford, Oklahoma; granddaughter Courtney Underwood of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandson Christopher Rasco, Sand Springs, Oklahoma; great-granddaughter Lily Underwood of Edmond, Oklahoma; and special friend, Minnalee Stewart of Yukon, Oklahoma.
