Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church, Levelland with Pastor Robert Burns and Rev. Leland Lewis of Pampa, officiating.
Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas.
Mr. Bean was born on May 6, 1924 in O’Donnell, Texas. He was born to William and Laura Bean and was raised in Seminole, Texas. He married Irene Baze on March 27, 1943. Mr. Bean served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946.
He was an active member of the Parkview Assembly of God, serving as Sunday School Superintendent and as a Board Member and now an active member of First Assembly of God.
Mr. Bean worked in the oilfield for many years and then served as Hockley County Deputy Sheriff for several years and then as County foreman before retiring in 1987.
Survivors include, three daughters: Darlene Lewis and husband, Leland of Pampa, Texas; Mary Stucks and husband R. C. of Levelland; and Brenda Hubbard and husband, James of Odessa, one son: Steve Bean and wife
Anita of Haskell; one sister: Darla Bryant from Monahans, one brother, Connie Bean and wife Polly also from Monahans.Mr. Bean was abundantly blessed with eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Sonny, Marshall and Melvin Bean and one sister, Billie Wallace.
